Honda MOT

MOT (Ministry of Transport Test) at Harratts Honda

Honda cars are some of the most efficient and reliable on the market, but they still need regular checks and services to ensure that everything is working as it should – including an MOT.

An MOT test is one of the most important checks and one that you’re legally required to have each year. Down at Harratts Honda you can sit back in our comfortable lounge area while you wait for your MOT to be completed and take full advantage our complimentary wi-fi, newspapers and hot drinks.

The MOT doesn’t cover everything, though. That’s why we suggest you combine your annual Honda service with an MOT. We also offer a free Vehicle Health Check alongside your MOT test for ultimate peace of mind on the road.

How often does my Honda need an MOT?

If you buy your Honda brand new, it needs to have its first test no later than 3 years after the date it was registered. So if you bought a Honda on the 1st January 2019, you’ll have to make sure it has an MOT test before January 1st 2022 – otherwise you won’t legally be allowed on the roads.

After that 3 year period is up you need to be having a test every 12 months, and that needs to be carried out at least 28 days before the current certificate expires.

Why should I get my MOT at Harratts Honda?

We’re Honda experts. Our technicians receive regular training from Honda, so they’re well-informed on all the latest mechanical updates. We ensure that only the right fluid and oil types are used, while only genuine Honda parts are used for any repairs that might be needed.
