MOT (Ministry of Transport Test) at Harratts Kia Wakefield

Kia have built a reputation in recent years for sturdy, reliable cars. They’re also efficient and powerful with great fuel economy.

Just like anything made up of moving parts, though, even a Kia car will succumb to wear and tear over time.

Besides regular servicing, an MOT test is one way to make sure that everything is working as it should. Your annual MOT test can spot smaller issues before they become big problems, extending the lifetime of your Kia and saving you money in the long run.

It doesn’t take long, either. An MOT test at Harratts Kia Wakefield can be conducted while you wait. All you need to do is take a seat and enjoy a cup of tea on us, with complimentary newspapers and free wifi.

When is my Kia due for an MOT?

That depends on the age of your car.

If you bought it brand new, you’ll need to make sure it gets an MOT within 3 years of the date it was registered.

For cars older than 3 years it’s a legal requirement to have a fresh MOT test every 12 months. There’s an expiry date on the certificate – make sure your next test is booked in at least 28 days before.
