Nissan cars are known for two things: quality and efficiency. They last a long time and bring great value for money, but that doesn’t just happen by accident. Regular servicing and maintenance is essential if you want to preserve your Nissan’s cost-effectiveness.

We’ve got two Nissan service centres in the West Yorkshire region: one on Front Street in Pontefract and another off Denby Dale Road in Wakefield. Both centres offer Nissan servicing as well as MOT and Vehicle Health Checks.

You should bring your car in for servicing when there’s an obvious problem. Smaller, often unnoticeable issues can transform into big problems if left unchecked.

We’ll perform a free Nissan Vehicle Health Check, which able to diagnose any problems and correct them before they get worse. We take a look at the engine, clutch and gearbox, something an MOT test won’t cover, and we’ll even send you a video one the check is complete.

How often does my Nissan need servicing?

This is dependent on how many miles you’ve driven and how old the car is, as well as the type of engine. You’ll definitely need an annual service every 12 months or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first – unless you own a Navara, which needs servicing every 24 months.

For all other service intervals you should check your service handbook or contact us here at Harratts and we’ll be able to help you out.

By law you are required to have an MOT every 12 months once the car is over 3 years old, and it needs to be performed at least 28 days before the certificate is due to expire.

Where to find us

Our Wakefield Used Car Centre on Denby Dale Road is an authorised Nissan service centre. It’s just 10 minutes from the city centre or a couple of minutes off junction 39 of the M1. 

There’s also the nearby Pontefract Used Car Centre, another authorised Nissan service centre. That’s on Front Street in the centre of town.
