Renault is the leading manufacturer of the Electric Vehicle (EV) in Europe, selling more than any other brand with models such as the Twizy, ZOE, Fluence and the innovative Master Van.

One of the biggest appeals of an EV is the relatively low cost of running the car on a day-to-day basis – and getting it serviced is equally affordable.

We’ve got 2 Renault sites in West Yorkshire. Our Wakefield dealership is Denby Dale Road and our Pontefract site is on Front Street in the town centre. At both sites you’ll find specialist Electric Vehicle technicians and specialist EV servicing equipment.

Servicing intervals depend on the model. The Twizy, Fluence and ZOE, for example, are due in every 12 months or 18,000 miles, while the Master Van only needs to come in every 2 years of 25,000 miles.

What’s included in an Electric Vehicle service?

First we check for any faults and make sure the software is up-to-date, before looking at whether the EV is charging to its optimum level and maintaining it. We’ll also see if there’s an update available for your SatNav, which can usually only be performed by a technician.

We’ll check the air conditioning system, which not only keeps you and your passengers cool but the car’s battery as well.  

A full Vehicle Health Check is then performed on key functional aspects like the tyres, brakes, lights and similar essential components.
